Pakarklės forest
Pivašiūnai (DAY 1)
This is the first time that an orienteering sports competition will be held in this area. It is a geomorphological reserve so the landforms are really expressive. The relief forms are quite large. There's quite a few marshes, some of which are flooded due to beaver activity (autumn 2023). It is a compound forest ranging from very good to very poor passability. The really difficult to pass one are the ones of the saplings with can also be fenced off from animals. The road network is sparse, the ride network is non existent. 2.5m contour interval. Scale 1:10000 and 1:7500.
Onuškis (DAY 2, 3)
A moraine-type area formed by glaciers. Although the maximum elevation change is around 20m, many small hills and small depressions won't let you relax even for a second. Coniferous forest prevails. The road network is very sparse, but the ride network is quite dense. Onuškis is a cultivated forest so there's a lot of tree-felling and saplings of all different ages. In the whole area there's only a few marshes. Long and middle distance courses are planned in this forest on the 2nd and 3rd days. 2.5m contour interval. Scale 1:10000 and 1:7500
